A 15-month-old girl in Tennessee survived a week trapped in her cradle with no food or water, after her grandmother, who was taking care of her, died on the bathroom floor.
People reports that little Brier was staying with her grandmother, Annette, while her mother, Tracy, was in jail.
When Annette didn’t bring the little girl in for visitation, Tracy asked her boyfriend, Anthony Waldo, to check on them.
“I got a phone call from Tracy saying something’s wrong…something’s very wrong,” said Waldo.
He went to the house, and saw Brier inside.
“Brier was in her crib, and she stood up, heard my voice, and kind of reached out to me,” Waldo says, in the report. “I told Tracy, ‘I see Brier’, and she said, ‘Break that door down’.”
The girl was too dehydrated to even cry when she was found.
It’s not clear why her grandmother died.
