While the male tennis aces tend to sport their sponsor’s branding on their sleeves, some companies are now customising the clothing of top seeded female players with logos brandished across the chest – right over the nipples.
The Courier Mail reports that some critics in the conservative tennis community are accusing brands of overtly sexualising the sports world class female competitors with their provocative marketing.
Italian player, Camila Giorgi, currently ranked number 54 in the world, is just one of the many female aces to be seen promoting sponsors on her chest.
But other tennis fans are chalking up the controversy to a storm in a B-cup as most female tennis players opt for sleeveless outfits and therefore sponsors have to place branding accordingly.
“Even school uniforms have the logo there on girls and boys! Quick! Better stop that too!” said one tennis fan.
