A young Sydney woman was horrified when she claims she discovered a man pointing his camera at her in a covert effort to film up her dress.
Tegan Portener was on a commuter train from Central to Newcastle on Thursday when she dozed off only to be awoken by the suspicion someone was watching her.
Tegan claims she could see the man’s phone pushed under the seat in front of her aimed in her direction and after about half an hour she confronted him and asked him what her was doing.
“Halfway to Newcastle I woke up from a nap with my knees up in shorts and noticed he was filming me from underneath his chair. He did it for another half-hour until I finally mustered up the courage to tell him to stop,” she posted on her Facebook page.
Tegan added: “[I]stopped videoing because my phone ran out of memory but essentially he acted all offended and I just told him to stop and he nodded.”
Tegan says after the incident she reported it to the police.
“I went to the front of the train and told the driver about the sitch and he contacted the police at Broadmeadow for me,” she wrote.
“I gave them these videos and they went through surveillance cams but couldn’t find him so the grot is still out there potentially filming other women ugh.”
