A couple who served as flower girl and ring bearer at a wedding 17 years ago have walked down the same aisle as bride and groom.
Fox reports that Adrian Franklin and his now-wife Brooke Franklin were five-year-olds when they were asked to be the ring bearer and flower girl for a family friend.
“I was devastated,” Adrian said.
“I was like ‘tell me I don’t have to walk down the aisle with her!’”
Brooke was rapt because she had a crush on Adrian.
“We went to school together and I would always try to play with him on the playground and he wouldn’t have anything to do with it,” she said.
The couple started dating when they were teenagers.
The proposal was cute, too.
“I had some friends ride by in a boat with a sign that said ‘Will you marry me Brooke,’” Adrian said.
Then he got down on one knee and handed Brooke a question mark.
They married in the same church where they walked down the aisle the first time.
