Updated:
The former teacher at Sydney Grammar School who pleaded guilty to having sex with a 17-year-old pupil admitted she’d been warned “several times” about inappropriate behaviour.
The female teacher from the elite school was warned not to “make sexual references” in “any communication with boys of the school, written or spoken, or electronic” according to court documents.
These warnings were made as early as September 2013. The teacher and her pupil started spending time together during extra-curricular activities in 2015.
She also wrote in his school report he was a “delight to teach”. “If all boys had his sense of humour and level of engagement with the world around them, then teachers would skip to school,” it read.
The boy ended the relationship in April 2015 but she continued to contact him until September. He attempted suicide in the school toilets at the end of 2015.
More as we get it.

A former teacher at Sydney Grammar School has pleaded guilty to having sex with a 17-year-old pupil.
The female teacher, 33, and the teenage boy started a sexual relationship after he “drank three beers at her home and she kissed him”, the Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney heard.
The woman pleaded guilty to nine counts of sexual intercourse and one of indecent assault.
The court heard a series of twisted text messages, including one where the 33-year-old calls herself a “f—ing monster”.
Another one reportedly read:
“I am absolutely terrified the story of us will get out, and you’re the only one with any control over that. And lastly, of course, because I love you. I loved you so much it is killing me”.
The teacher and pupil started spending time together during extra-curricular activities in 2015.
Attempts to suppress the name of the school, Sydney Grammar, failed last year.
The woman will face court again later this month.
