Meet the little boy who touched the world from his hospital bed

A little boy in a Salt Lake City hospital has been receiving gifts from strangers around the world after a blog post revealed what he found comfort in.

Like most boys, cars are on the mind of little Ethan Carnesecca.

Suffering from a severe case of pneumonia, Ethan has found comfort in his toy Hot Wheels cars while he’s been in hospital for the past few weeks.

And don’t the hospital staff know it.

“They’re all aware of how important these cars are,” Ethan’s mother, Michele Carnesecca told KSL news.

“They don’t take them out of his hands. [Before each procedure] they’ll run around the hospital trying to find a car for him.”

But there is no need for the staff to run around anymore chasing cars anymore after a friend of Ethan’s father and the man behind the car enthusiast blog Lamley Group, posted an article about the young boy and his Hot Wheels hospital fix.

The blog post went viral and now little Ethan’s Hot Wheels car collection may be bigger than the boy himself.

“People from Malaysia, Europe, and all over the Orient [have sent cars],” Chad Carnesecca, Ethan’s dad told KSL.

“It’s been pretty amazing just to see people reach out.”

If you would like to send Ethan a hot wheels car, you can post it to:
