Four people have died and a number are injured after an accident on a ride at Dreamworld, Queensland Police have confirmed (see statement below).
It is believed the accident occurred on the Thunder River Rapids ride.
News Corp media are reporting that: Initial indications are that there was a conveyor belt malfunction but this could not be confirmed. The Courier-Mail has been told six people were on a Thunder River Rapids ride car when it capsized on a conveyor belt.
The police statement has confirmed all the fatalities were adults.
