The worst word of all (and let’s not even get into the argument about why such a word should be the worst word of all.)
Mr Pyne says it’s all a misunderstanding. The nation has misheard! The word he actually used, when addressing the Leader of the Opposition in the hallowed halls of Parliament, where democracy is celebrated and grand traditions are made, was ‘grub’.
Not that it’s okay to say grub, either, which is why Mr Pyne has withdrawn the remark.
Good for him – but if the word he’s using here is ‘grub’ and not the C-word, I’ll eat my hat. You?
