Details have emerged about a man who allegedly stalked the actress in reports in the New York Daily News, which has obtained affidavits relating to the case.
The documents describe how Bullock returned home at around one o’clock in the morning on June 8, took a shower, went to bed and woke up to “loud bangs.”
At first she thought the sounds were coming from her third floor exercise room, where she had left the windows open to air out the room. But when the banging got louder Bullock got up to close her bedroom door and saw a man wearing dark clothing walk past her on the other side of the threshold, the affidavit said.
Bullock locked herself in her room and called police.
The man, who was arrested at the scene, was carrying love notes to her and her son.
“You are very special to me and without you in my life there is only misery,” read one note.
“I will forever be thinking of you and Louie my son as you are my wife by law, the law of God and you belong to me and me to you.”
The accused intruder, Joshua James Corbett, 39, allegedly signed off as “your husband.”
