Defence chief new NSW Governor

NSW Premier Mike Baird announced this morning that General Hurley would take over from Professor Bashir on October 1 when she retires.

General Hurley, who was born in Wollongong and has served in the armed forces for more than 40 yearssaid it was a great honour.
