A convicted rapist has allegedly broken out of his supervised facility and now there’s fears he’s stalking multiple female doctors.

After escaping Corella Place sex offender facility, nicknamed the Village of the Damned, the 40-year-old has reportedly travelled to Melbourne and is requesting to see only female doctors across multiple practices.

Both police and the Australian medical Association say the man is lying about his record in order to book private one-on-one consultations with female GPs.

Orders are preventing authorities from revealing his identity, meaning he can’t be named to help doctors prevent future bookings.

AMA Victoria president Lorraine Baker said despite his criminal history, police are “limited in their powers”.

“This is a serious issue. Female GPs are being exposed to dangerous and unacceptable situations in their workplaces.

GP clinics are hives of activity with doctors, nurses, support staff and patients, including children and teenagers,” Dr Baker told the Herald Sun.

“We recognise that the Victorian government is committed to stopping hospital violence and improving patient safety — but there appears to be limited help for GPs in regard to safety and support, as most general practices cannot afford full-time security personnel.”

Doctors who treated the criminal declined to elaborate on his actions, but his behaviour raised alarm bells after several appointments in August.

It’s understood the offender, who has an intellectual disability, has been convicted of two counts of rape and has breached intervention orders before.
