A bitter dispute has erupted over a 10% price increase on Tim Tams leaving Coles with less of the chocolaty goodness on their shelves, reports Daily Mail.
Arnott’s is the country’s largest biscuit manufacturer and after Coles has refused to accept an “unjustified” 10 per cent rise they have put their foot down on supply of six varieties of the popular biscuit.
The dispute erupted on October when Arnott’s demanded a price increase on many popular products such as Scotch Finger, Teddy Bear, Monte Carlo and Tee Vee Snacks.
Coles has reportedly accepted a 9.9% price rise on 44 Arnott’s products that were considered “must have” items in stock, including Tim Tams 200g but the supermarket giant have refused to bow to pressure on 10 items that will be removed from shelves once stock runs out.
These included Tim Tam multipacks, as well as coconut cream, choc raspberry and salted caramel varieties.
