Eagle-eyed customers at Coles in Toowong, near Brisbane’s CBD were quick to spot the back-to-front Southern Cross featured on flags throughout the store.
Shoppers took to the Coles Facebook page to complain about the error, with one writing: “The stars are the wrong way around ya dingus!”
Coles replied: “Whoops! Thanks for bringing this to our attention.”
Staff at the supermarket removed the faulty flags on Saturday and replaced them with the correct version.
