Six-year-old girl rushed to hospital after found unconscious and hanging from play equipment

A six-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after she was found hanging unconscious from play equipment in Sydney's west.

A young girl has been rushed to hospital after she was found hanging unconscious from play equipment in Sydney’s west.

Emergency services were called to the Kidz Klub Playland and Café in Jamisontown, near Penrith, shortly after 8:00am.

Police said the scarf wrapped around her neck caught on the play equipment and she was found hanging unconscious by a staff member.

At the time of publication police said it was unknown how long she had been unconscious for.

A Careflight crew treated the girl at the scene before transporting her to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
