BuzzFeed CEO accuses Ivanka Trump of her own racist ‘locker room talk’, she denies the claims

BuzzFeed co-founder Jonah Peretti has tweeted about a time he claims to have heard Ivanka Trump use a lewd slur but she denies that ever happened.

BuzzFeed co-founder Jonah Peretti has tweeted a time he claims to have heard Ivanka Trump use some pretty lewd language of her own, and it was racist. She denies the accusation.

On Wednesday afternoon the media personality tweeted:

“Surprised Ivanka would be shocked by lewd language. I met her once & she casually said: “I’ve never seen a mulatto cock, but I’d like to!”

Many people assumed that Peretti might have been hacked because the tweet came without further explanation or context.

Peretti told BuzzFeed News the tweet was not a joke – he was just matter-of-factly recalling meeting Ivanka and explained that he remembers the alleged comment, reportedly made in New York bar Tropical 128 eight-to-ten years ago in the company of roughly five other people, because it was rude and racist.

“She was saying how she first said she had never seen an uncircumcised cock and then she said, ‘I’ve never seen a mulatto cock. There’s lots of cocks I’ve never seen,’ or something like that,” he reportedly said.

“Of course, it was memorable just because of the use of the lewd language and racist language. It was also memorable being in the environment of being… in New York, sometimes liberal and progressive people make comments meant as jokes and not necessarily earnest. I didn’t know how to take it.”

(FYI: ‘Mulatto’ is a term used to refer to persons born of one white parent and one black parent. While the use of the word is murky it’s generally considered as offensive because of its ugly roots tied to times of slavery.)

Peretti – whose wife also was there and confirmed she heard Ivanka utter the vulgar slur – said he’d kept the conversation to himself because it was “said in private”. However considering Ivanka’s role in vehemently defending her father, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s recent “grab them by the p—y” tape, he felt her remarks were relevant to public discourse.

Ivanka Trump unequivocally denied the story to several media outlets.

She said: “I am not sure if this was meant to be a joke, but in case there is any ambiguity, this is a complete and total lie.”

Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller used Peretti’s claims as a way of once again accusing ‘the media’ was of trying to derail Trump’s efforts to secure the presidency.
