A 12-year-old boy has stumbled near a $2 million painting and put his fist right through it.
The moment was captured by security cameras.
The boy was taking a guided tour of an art exhibit in Taipei when he tripped near a painting, put his hand out to steady himself, but his fist went through the canvas.
The painting was Paolo Porpora’s Flowers, an oil on canvas said to be about 350 years old.
The poor kid looks absolutely stunned. He is led from the scene by a museum worker. The museum in a statement said the boy’s family won’t have to pay and restorers are doing their best to fix up the work.
