A six-year-old boy fatally shot his three-year-old brother after brandishing their father’s gun in a deadly game of cops and robbers.
CBS news reports that Chicago police charged a man with felony child endangerment after the six-year-old retrieved the loaded weapon from the top of the refrigerator before shooting his brother in the face.
Police spokesman, Anthony Gugliemi says their father illegally obtained the gun from a gang member as he felt he needed to protect his family after he had left the gang life.
Reports say the three-year-old was taken to a local hospital, before being moved to Mount Sinai where he was pronounced dead.
