A shock pregnancy loss has lead Melbourne mummy blogger Sarah Jane Young to share her story on her Instagram in order to open up a conversation.
A routine 20-week scan revealed the unborn girl, named Charlotte Rose, had “significant and multiple heart defects, that were incompatible with life after birth” Sarah Jane revealed on her blog, nine days after the tragedy.
Posing for a photo shoot with her family at the hospital, Sarah Jane shared the touching moment her other daughter, Mia Grace, met Charlotte Rose and kissed her goodbye.
Penning an emotional tribute, Sarah Jane’s grief and heartache is clear in her candid post. “While your little life was way too brief, in that very short time YOU have proven to me that a mother’s heart is NEVER, ever full. Our hearts are beyond broken and there will never be day that goes by where we don’t think about you – our sweet baby girl.”
The parenting blogger urged everyone to be kind and compassionate to others: “EVERYONE has a story. Never judge, never compare and just be”, a sentiment she echoed when she expressed her gratitude to her followers: “Thank you all for your kind words, patience and understanding.”
The entrepreneur hopes to one day have the strength to share her story in full, but for now Sarah Jane has opted for some TLC and to “check-out for some time and just survive this nightmare…”
