Spedding, 65, has previously been questioned by police investigating the disappearance of three-year-old William, but has always denied any involvement.

In 2015 Mr Spedding, a white goods repair man, took to releasing a video statement on YouTube where he insisted he was innocent and expressed his sadness for the Tyrrell family over the toddler’s disappearance.

“I wish to state that I have had no involvement whatsoever in the disappearance of William Tyrrell,” he said in the September 2015 video.

William Tyrrell was last seen wearing a Spiderman costume on Friday, September 12 at 10.30am as he played with his sister in the front yard of their grandmother’s home on Beneroon Drive, Kendall.

Spedding became connected to the Tyrrell case after it was revealed he had been in touch with William’s grandmother about fixing her broken washing machine.

This September will mark two years since William vanished.

Anyone with information about William Tyrrell, is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
