Accused paedophile Bill Spedding has been granted bail today, after being charged in April for the alleged sexual abuse of two young girls in the 1980s.

Spedding has been a ‘person of interest’ in the case of missing toddler William Tyrrell.

The 63-year-old was granted bail in the NSW Supreme Court today in regards to the alleged sexual assault charges of two girls in 1987.

The girls were aged three and six at the time.

Spedding was investigated 30 years ago over the claims but was never charged.

Justice Geoffrey Bellow today voiced concern over the vague memories one of the young girls has and whether both children have been coached by an adult.

A 21-page report has been provided by the alleged victims .

Police have only claimed Spedding is a ‘person of interest’ in the case of missing William Tyrrell.

Tyrrell went missing from his grandmother’s home on the north coast of New South Wales on September 12.
