An autistic woman has filmed the incredible moment her dog helped her down from a panic attack.
The video, which has garnered nearly five million views on YouTube, shows the woman, Danielle Jacobs, in the midst of an anxiety-induced panic attack, when her beloved service dog, Samson, comes to the rescue.
Using his paws, the Rottweiler gently attempts to stop his owner from hurting herself as she hits her chest and head.
The service dog, who has been trained to react to panic attacks and depressive episodes, then proceeds to kiss and nuzzle Danielle when she collapses to the floor.

After being posted under the caption โthis is what having Aspergerโs is likeโ, Danielle has revealed that the video was intended to show not only her dogโs amazing reaction to her panic attack, but also the reality of living with autism and Aspergerโs.
โThis is what really happened and itโs not easy to open myself and share what itโs like on a daily basis. This is whatโs considered a meltdown,โ wrote Danielle of the video.
โWhat Iโd like the public to know is that child or adult in a store screaming or kicking and crying may not [be] having a tantrum because heโs not getting his or her way,โ she told Buzzfeed, โIt may be because the lights are hurting him because itโs too bright, the smells in the store [are] too strong, and itโs too loud for his ears, and the only way to express himself is through a meltdown.โ
