An 18-year-old girl who was driving a car when it crashed, killing the daughter of a policeman, has been charged over the death.
Courteney Matthews has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death, and other charges, for the horrific tragedy.
The crash occurred on Burxner Highway in NSW, 10km east of the town Casino on December 18.
Little Elle Underhill, 4, daughter of Sergeant Steve Underhill, was in the back seat of the Mazda 323 with babysitter Courteney when it reportedly collided with a Subaru Liberty at 1.20pm.
The driver of the other car was hospitalised.
Sgt Underhill arrived at the scene and found his daughter deceased.
Courteney’s driver’s licence has been suspended and she will appear in Casino Local Court on July 20.
