Aussie fashion retailer Sportscraft were given the somewhat difficult but equally rewarding task of creating the Australian uniforms for the opening ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in August.
Today they unveiled the final product in Sydney’s Bondi.
The men and women will all be wearing green and white pinstripe blazers, with the guys wearing white shorts and the woman wearing a white skirt.
And of course, a little gold had to be thrown in there – a scarf for the ladies and a green and gold tie for the men.
London Games silver medallist Jess Fox told Seven she’s into the new look, saying: “I think it has got that fun Rio feel to it but it has that vintage inspiration to it from the previous Olympics.”
We’re definitely getting that vintage feel. Or maybe it’s a preppy-school-kids kinda thing.
