An Australian nutritionist has been slammed on social media amid claims her new weight loss program is derogatory towards women.
Lola Berry announced the release of her book titled, Stop Being a Fat Bitch, on Facebook over the weekend.
“STOP BEING A FAT BITCH! It’s here!!! My first ever 4 week weight loss plan! Launching now!!”
“Available at www.fatbitch.com.au #stopbeingafatbitch is something I used to say to myself over and over … this program is not just about the food plan and recipes, it’s also about changing your mindset to achieve your health goals! Can’t wait to hear what you think!!”
However, she as immediately met with negative responses in relation to the titled.
Ms Berry responded to the backlash over social media posting the below picture and writing, “The whole point of the title is to display how bad self talk IS and the importance of a positive mindset and self love.”
“Thank you for your honest feedback my intention isn’t to offend anybody my intention is to make a positive change.”
She also asked her fans what they would like the book to be called. Ms Berry later posted a tearful video on her Instagram, apologising to those she offended.
