Popular newspaper horoscope write Jonathan Cainer has died, aged 58.
Cainer passed away in his North Yorkshire home yesterday, following a suspected heart attack. He was found by his wife Sue and taken to hospital, but pronounced dead on arrival.
Cainer was famous for his “spookily accurate” horoscopes, none more so than his prediction for yesterday, the day he died, which poignantly read: “We’re not here for long. So make the most of every moment.”
Cainer’s horoscopes were read by 12 million worldwide and translated into Italian, Chinese, Spanish and Japanese.
“Jonathan had this great talent – not only his gift and wisdom but also the ability to make people feel he was speaking directly to them as individuals,” his brother Daniel told The Daily Mail.
“I think that was the key, that people felt he spoke to them personally. Even the most cynical and hardened person could read their forecast and be amazed by its accuracy.”
