Visiting tourists always comment on how “pretty” our currency is but it seems the notes are a relic of a largely bygone era, with the majority of the population unable to name the faces that appear on the notes.
So, Melbourne-based art director Aaron Tyler has decided to change it up, releasing a series of banknotes with contemporary Aussie icons.
From Dame Edna to Agro and even Lara Bingle, everyone has a place on this new currency.
