Netflix has released a first look at its new documentary series, Amanda Knox, based on the infamous Meredith Kercher murder case.
The now 29-year-old Knox was imprisoned in Italy for four years for the murder of her roommate in 2007, before being acquitted of the crime.
The long trial was widely criticised both over the Italian police’s sloppy handling of evidence and for the local and international media’s sensationalised coverage.
Knox was labelled ‘Foxy Knoxy’ and much for the coverage focused on her looks.
The streaming service has released two versions of the trailer, each from a different perspective. The first urges viewers to ‘suspect her’:
