Former Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise star Alex Nation has shared a tribute to her son ahead of giving birth for the third time.
Taking to Instagram, the proud mum shared a black and white photo of her eldest son, Elijah, to mark his twelfth birthday.
”Twelve,” she wrote. ”I am just so proud of you and the wonderful person you are shaping to be. Happy Birthday Lije.”
He’s growing up so fast!

”Excuse me?! I feel like he became a young man over night!”, one fan wrote. ”Happy birthday Elijah. And happy 12 years of motherhood to you!”
”What a handsome young man he is growing to be. Happy birthday Elijah,” another added.
”Happy birthday! Wow! I’ve been following you for years and jeez he’s gron up fast,” a third penned.
Alex first hit screens on the 2016 season of The Bachelor
(IMAGE: Instagram)Fans were first introduced to Alex on Richie Strahan’s 2016 season of The Bachelor, winning the final rose. You remember – that – chocolate bath, right?
The pair then dated for less than a year before calling it quits.
Throughout the season, the single mum gushed about her then five year old son Elijah and said that Richie would meet him when the time was right.
Yet, their first meeting ended up being quite spontaneous, as Alex previously told OK!
Alex is expecting her third child.
(IMAGE: Instagram)”I said to Lij, ‘I’ve got a surprise in my room,’ and he asked, ‘what is it?’ I said, ‘It’s asleep,’ and then he went in there….” she told the publication.
Richie then added: ”I flew in quite late and woke up to the little guy with this big grin on his face. I wake up to, ‘Richie!’ and I go, ‘Lij, what’s going on buddy? He jumped in, have me a hug, and then we just chilled in there for a bit.”
Since her split from Richie, Alex has welcomed a second child, Maxwell, with current partner Carson Jory. The pair are also currently expecting another child soon.

Alex revealed she was expecting her third child in October 2022, sharing a montage of family moments with Carson, Elijah and Maxwell.
In May this year, Alex explained that she and Carson had made the ”difficult” decision to elope after being forced to cancel her wedding plans in Croatia.
”With so many other things going on and having projects underway that need a lot of our attention, the timing just wasn’t right for us to tie the knot this year,” she said.
