AFL coach Phil Walsh allegedly murdered by own son

Paramedics treated Walsh, 55, but he died at the scene.

Adelaide Crows coach, Phil Walsh is dead and his 26-year-old son has been arrested over the alleged murder.

Police and ambulance crews were called to a domestic dispute in Bungey Avenue at Somerton Park overnight.

Officers are still at the scene.

Paramedics attempted to treat Walsh, 55, at the house but he died at the scene.

Walsh’s wife was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries and his son has been arrested over the alleged murder.

Phil Walsh played for Collingwood, Richmond and the Brisbane Bears during his career before becoming an assistant coack at Port Adelaide in 1999.

He moved to the West Coast Eagles before being appointed Adelaide Crows coach in the 2014.

He coached the Crows for 12 games, winning seven and losing five.
