We’re the first ones to admit that if we were given the option of reintroducing nap times into our schedules, we would jump at the opportunity. But when faced with the concept of an “adult pre-school”, we’re not so sure.
A “school” based in Brooklyn, NY, has announced an innovative new endeavour to keep the magic of childhood alive and “re-learn the basics and experience the magic of life as it was originally intended”.
However, that ‘magic of childhood’ also includes class pictures, homework and, erm, dressing like a four-year-old.
The school, Preschool Mastermind, will put you back between $333 and $999, depending on how much of your inner pre-schooler you want to connect with and runs over the course of a month.
Included in your pre-school activities is;
Arts and crafts
Show and Tell
Snack time
Music time
Nap time
Lessons and playsheets
Buddy system
Games
Make believe
Class picture day
A field trip and
Homework
But getting into this school isn’t just a matter of applying online and hoping for the best, Preschool Mastermind’s website has very clear instructions regarding applications:
“Please note, [applications] must be PRINTED and filled out BY HAND,” reads their website, “Think markers, crayons, paint… perhaps this means a trip to the art store — ohh fun! Please read carefully (because this time around, you can read). Most importantly, HAVE FUN with it!”
The class also includes, surprisingly, a Parents Day, where students can invite their (also adult) parents along for pictures and playtime.
