A Sydney high school is in shock after a pupil reportedly stabbed a teacher and two students.
The 16-year-old boy is accused of stabbing a female science teacher, Carolyn Cox, and a male and female student, aged 16 and 15.
Witnesses said: “He just walked in and stabbed them, then walked out.”
Bonnyrigg High School went into lockdown for two hours after the reported attack at about 8.45am.
Carolyn Cox, 43, was stabbed in the back, a 15-year-old female student was stabbed in the shoulder blade and a 16-year-old student was stabbed in the chest.
The three were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The police picked up the accused shortly after and found an Adidas bag containing a cutter knife, kitchen knife, meat cleaver, scissors and two screw drivers.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports the attack came out of nowhere:
“The boy was not a difficult student and had no known issues with his alleged victims.”
However The Australian reports friends of the boy say he was bullied and “just got pushed to the limit”.
He was charged with wounding with intent to murder and two counts of wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The boy has been refused bail and will appear in a children’s court today.
