There are moments in Australian sport that go down in the history books, Cathy Freeman’s Olympic Gold Medal and Steven Bradbury’s epic comeback spring to mind, and now seven-year-old Ethan is about to have his name etched in them.
He may only be in grade three, but rest-assured when this flame-haired pocket rocket stepped onto the field to sing the national anthem he was so ready that not even a debilitating case of the hiccups could stop him.
Ethan sung through the world’s worst timed case of the hiccups like a true professional, and as a result has bagged himself a whole heap of fans.
Including the commentators, who were quick to reveal that the performance was, “the best I’ve seen all year, and I don’t think anything will top it.”
The primary schooler’s performance at the Saturday evening game between the Adelaide Bite and Brisbane Bandits has since gone viral – for all the right reasons.
Ethan, you’ll forever be our spirit animal, we can’t wait to see you hit the X-Factor stage one day!
