Little boy hiccups his way through the national anthem and it’s perfect

Ethan Hall worked way too hard to sing the Aussie anthem at a national baseball game, so he wasn’t going to let a serious case of the hiccups get in his way.

There are moments in Australian sport that go down in the history books, Cathy Freeman’s Olympic Gold Medal and Steven Bradbury’s epic comeback spring to mind, and now seven-year-old Ethan is about to have his name etched in them.

He may only be in grade three, but rest-assured when this flame-haired pocket rocket stepped onto the field to sing the national anthem he was so ready that not even a debilitating case of the hiccups could stop him.

Ethan sung through the world’s worst timed case of the hiccups like a true professional, and as a result has bagged himself a whole heap of fans.

Including the commentators, who were quick to reveal that the performance was, “the best I’ve seen all year, and I don’t think anything will top it.”

Ethan is now an internet sensation!

The primary schooler’s performance at the Saturday evening game between the Adelaide Bite and Brisbane Bandits has since gone viral – for all the right reasons.
