Apple has released their latest update and they’ve introduced a feature which is designed to help you get to sleep easier.
Providing you have enough memory, the iOS 9.3 update is now available and should show up in your Settings section as a Software Update.
After recent studies found the bright blue displays interfere with our circadian rhythms, Apple created the Night Shift.
The app uses your phone’s clock and geolocation to tweak your screen’s display, changing it to the warmer end of the spectrum when it hits sunset, The Sun reports.
However, the clever little addition isn’t set to default so you’ll need to activate it yourself.
To turn on Night Shift, head to your settings.
From there, tap on “Display and Brightness.” Here, you can tap on “Night Shift.”
Adjust your Night Shift settings.
From this section, you can either opt to have it turn on automatically or enable it immediately. You can also adjust how warm you’d like your display screen to appear.
You can also turn on Night Shift from Control Center.
Just swipe up to access Control Center, tap on the sun icon, and Night Shift is now on.
