Kellyanne Conway adds to Trump’s wiretapping claims, citing “microwaves that turn into cameras”

The internet has responded accordingly.

As many of you know, microwaves are now being used as cameras to surveil the elite.

Well, according to Trump aide Miss-Alternative-Facts herself Kellyanne Conway who was desperately trying to backpedal on Trump’s claims that Obama was wiretapping him during the campaign.

In an interview with NorthJersey.com, Conway suggested her boss was referring to wider surveillance than wiretapping – despite his specific mention of wiretapping.

I can’t help but feel if he used the tried and tested method of press conferences over Twitter, the 140 characters might not hold him back as much.

“What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other,” Conway said. “You can surveil someone through their phones, certainly through their television sets — any number of ways.”

Look, at that juncture, the lady has a point. But, as is the way of the Trump administration, she didn’t want to stop while she was ahead and added that monitoring could be done with “microwaves that turn into cameras”.

“We know this is a fact of modern life.”

Conway didn’t offer any evidence to her claim, nor has Mr Trump or the White House at any point over the last nine days in the wake of his early morning tweet.

Conway did a follow-up interview with CNN – an interesting choice considering their position as “fake news” in Trump’s eyes – trying to make light of the situation, I think. She didn’t smile, but I’m assuming.

“I’m not Inspector Gadget,” she said. “I don’t believe people are using their microwave to spy on the Trump Campaign. However, I am not in the job of having evidence. That’s what investigations are for.”

Twitter has been fully supportive of her comments.

The House Intelligence Committee has requested the White House submit any evidence of their explosive claims that phones at Trump Tower were bugged by today.

We’ll keep you updated, after I take the espionage setting off my microwave.
