Lesley Stahl sat down with the Trump family, including Melania, Ivanka, Tiffany, Eric and Donald Jr., on Friday at Trump’s Fifth Avenue residence in New York.

When asked about the logistics of building a wall to separate the borders, he said:

“There could be some fencing. For certain areas I would [accept a fence], but certain areas, a wall is more appropriate. I’m very good at this, it’s called construction.”

He also said when he takes the White House on January 20, he’ll remove immigrants in the country illegally with criminal records:

“What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers, where a lot of these people, probably two million, it could be even three million, we are getting them out of our country or we are going to incarcerate. But we’re getting them out of our country.”

He explained that once the border is “secure”, then the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement will assess the status of the remaining undocumented immigrants in the country.
