Chris Pratt and Anna Faris, who recently shattered the world’s perception of true love with news of their split, might yet reconcile.
According to professional matchmaker, reality TV star and family friend Patti Stanger, there’s still hope for the beloved couple.
“Okay, so this is really hard because I’m close to them,” Stanger told Entertainment Tonight on Thursday. “I’m upset about it. The day it happened, I actually texted them. I don’t know what happened there, [Chris] is still living in the house. Let’s pray it turns around.”
“If [Pratt]’s still in the house, there’s hope,” she continued. “If the person doesn’t leave the house, there’s a lot of hope there. That means they still love each other. Because they’re not poor…they could go get a condo, Airbnb it. It’s just that they don’t want to leave each other. There’s a lot of best friend factor there. They’re very close as BFFs.”
In response to the (unsolicited) insight, Chris and Anna’s reps told the publication: “Patti Stanger is not an authorized spokesperson for Anna and Chris and her comments (about their marital status and personal life) are invalid.”
At the end of the day, they’re the only ones who truly know what’s happening in their relationship!
Earlier this month, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor, 38, and the Mom star, 40, announced plans to separate after eight years of marriage.
“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed,” the pair wrote in a joint statement. “Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.”
They added: “We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another. Chris Pratt and Anna Faris.”
Since tying the knot in 2009, Chris and Anna have fast become one of the most adored couples in Hollywood and are the proud parents to their son Jack Pratt, who turns four this month.
In December, Anna confessed to being rattled by rumours her husband had cheated on her with his Passengers co-star Jennifer Lawrence.
“It made me feel incredibly insecure,” she mused on her podcast Anna Faris Is Unqualified.
“Chris and I, we talk about this a lot. We grapple with a lot of the ideas of being a public couple.”
But the actress dismissed the allegations as rubbish.
“I just remember feeling so hurt in a way that bothered me, because I didn’t want to think of myself as somebody who could be affected by … tabloid s—.”
We continue to wish Chris and Anna all the very best.
