In an epic segment for The Late Show with Seth Meyers, Justin Timberlake suggests that he should sing the theme song for the show, but what ensued was gut-wrenchingly funny.
“I was thinking recently, despite my many accomplishments – and I have accomplished a lot – the only thing I haven’t done is I haven’t written a theme song for a late-night talk show. And since you’re my favorite talk show host…” Justin quips.
“I am?” Seth asks before Justin insists, “You are!”
The dad-of-one soon launches into his first song and before long it becomes pretty clear the tune was written for another late night show host – Jimmy Fallon.
The 34-year-old singer is famously close bond with Jimmy, and quickly admits the song was indeed written for him – much to rival Seth’s dismay.
The Sexy Back hitmaker then goes through numerous other theme song options, but yep, you guessed it, they too were written for other shows that rejected him.
We soon discover in the laugh-out-loud clip that Seth isn’t Justin’s favourite talk show host at all, but the last in a string of rejections.
JT didn’t give up though, he only called it quits when Seth decided to ask for security.
Just when you thought you couldn’t love Justin Timberlake anymore! Don’t worry JT we wouldn’t dream of ever rejecting you.
