Alex Bernhardt can’t seem to catch a break!
After being doused with an esky full of freezing cold water by an irate interviewee and having a lit cigarette put out on her face outside a courtroom, the Channel Nine reporter has suffered another unfortunate incident.
Whilst recording a cross from Brisbane, Alex was bitten by a stray bull ant – a large breed of ant known for their stinging and painful bite.
“I’ve just been stung by a f** bull ant,” said Alex, trying to maintain her calm.
“Ohhh… F***. Oh my god. Ow. I’m about to cry it’s really, really sore,” the distressed reporter continued, clearly in pain.
Failing to regain her poise, the journalist ducked off camera to tend to her wound.
Luckily for Alex, she was able re-record her cross and her painful encounter was never put to air however the footage has since re-surfaced on Instagram.
