There’s no slowing down for quintessential rock star Iggy Pop, who still loves to perform with his shirt off!

Iggy Pop is ringing in his twilight years with serious swagger. During a performance at the Milton Keynes International Festival in Buckinghamshire, England on Sunday the Michigan-born star stripped down to nothing more than a pair of denim jeans – a stage gimmick he has used since his heyday.

And, as the saying goes – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it and it looks like this irreverent muso won’t be changing up his jam any time soon.

Indeed the star – real name James Newell Osterberg Jr – is well-known for his high-paced performances and wild antics, and this most recent gig certainly didn’t disappoint.

While Iggy found fame fronting the proto-punk band The Stooges, who broke up in 1947 before reuniting in 2003, these days he tours as a solo artist and has collaborated with the likes of Madonna and Danger Mouse.

Speaking of his style, he mused: “I like music that’s more offensive. I like it to sound like nails on a blackboard, get me wild.”

Then and now! Iggy Pop wasn’t afraid to strip down to his briefs back in 1973 (L) and 42 years later, not much has changed.

Confidence aplenty: “I stare at myself in the mirror and I think, ‘Wow, I’m really great-looking.’ I think I’m the greatest, anyway,” the 68-year-old has reflected. Here, he soaks up the atmosphere at the Milton Keynes International Festival in Buckinghamshire, England on Sunday.

It’s clear the singer’s stage presence is as fierce as ever! On Sunday he totally entranced the crowd.

“I’ve probably been spit on more than any person alive outside of, I would say, a member of the prison system,” Iggy (pictured on the left in 1986 and on the right in 2014) has said.
