He is quite possibly the world’s most famous wizard but Daniel Radcliffe is no longer just the boy who lived, he is a grown man.
The 25-year-old actor graced this year’s Comic-Con at the San Diego Convention Centre in California to promote his latest flick, Victor Frankenstein and we couldn’t help but notice his rustic approach to his appearance.
Daniel is one of the most sought-after actors at the sci-fi, fantasy and comic convention but kept it casual in jeans and a t-shirt (last year he walked around the convention in a Spider-Man mask). However it was the British babe’s overgrown beard and shaggy hair that really got people talking.
He joined his co-star, James McAvoy and the pair had a hoot of time at their panel – getting up to all sorts as they chatted to the crowd.
In the new Frankenstein film, Daniel will portray Igor, Frankenstein’s troubled young assistant.
The movie is set to hit our shores in the later this year and according to IMDB the flick is: “Told from Igor’s perspective, we see the troubled young assistant’s dark origins, his redemptive friendship with the young medical student Victor Frankenstein, and become eyewitnesses to the emergence of how Frankenstein became the man – and the legend – we know today.”
In honour of Daniel’s new look, we turn our time-turner three times and check out his amazing transformation throughout the years.
Former Harry Potter star and all-round magical human, Daniel Radcliffe attended this year’s Comic-Con, which was held at the San Diego Convention Centre in California.
Looking a little disheveled the 25-year-old rocked an overgrown beard and scruffy hair. The British actor was at the convention to promote his latest flick, Victor Frankenstein, where he plays Igor, Frankenstein’s troubled young assistant.
But before he became Igor, let us remind you of the greatest boy wizard that ever there was, Harry Potter. Seriously, those cheeks have us spell-bound.
These days Daniel’s embracing the rugged look (and we don’t mind it!)
He was joined by his co-star James McAvoy and the pair had a great time. It’s clear Dan gets along really well with his co-stars.
Growing up with fellow Harry Potter stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint prepared him for life as an actor.
Since the franchise wrapped, Daniel went on to play romantic leads in a variety of films.
But we remember falling in love with the Gryffindor seeker.
Many of us would have grown up along with the Harry Potter stars.
Daniel spent over 10 years in the iconic role, becoming a man in front of our eyes.
Like all of us, he may have been privy to his awkward phase (here’s looking at you Order of the Phoenix) but Dan certainly has become one good looking guy.
As have his co-stars – Emma is as beautiful and all kinds of intelligent while Rupert continues to be the funny sweet guy we all adore.
One of Daniel’s biggest role is being the loved up partner to long-time girlfriend, Erin Darke. “I think that’s the kind of relationship I always aspire to have with someone I’m in a relationship with. You want that person to be your best friend. In the case of Erin, we definitely are,” the Harry Potter alum gushed.
The former Harry Potter star has done his best to separate himself from the iconic role – most famously baring all for the play Equus.
Dan’s next role is an untitled film by Judd Apatow where he will show off his funny side. The actor and a large group of dogs were recently seen filming scenes for the flick.
He may be a Hollywood heartthrob…
But there’s no denying that Daniel Radcliffe still holds a special place in our hearts as Hogwarts greatest hero.
