The British adventurer and the President were all smiles as they teamed up for a very special episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls.

Bear met up with Obama during a three-day trip to Alaska, giving the father-of-two the chance to discover the impact of climate change on the state while trying out his wilderness skills.

Obama took over the White House Instagram, flooding it with candid shots from the trip. We think Mr President has found a potential job for when 2016 rolls in!

Showing off his funny-side Obama posted a selfie of him and the adventurer smiling together on Tuesday evening, joking: “Glad this was the only Bear I met in the park.”

The 54-year-old may have been on an adventure of a lifetime but he was still focused on discussing the issues close to his heart.

“The impacts of climate change are real, and the people of Alaska are living with them every day,” he wrote on Instagram. “It’s never been more important for us to work together to address this challenge.”

Before his meeting with Bear, Obama’s spokesman said on Air Force One: “The president has seen the show before. I will not deny your suspicion that there may have been some suggestions put forward by the Bear Grylls team that were not approved by the Secret Service.”

Before adding, “I think it’s just sort of an admittedly unorthodox, but legitimately interesting, way for the president to reach an audience that obviously cares about this conversation.”

Obama may be the first president to go on a Bear Grylls wild adventure, but the former British military commander has hosted some of Hollywood’s finest including, Channing Tatum, Kate Winslet and Ben Stiller.

Bear Grylls met up with President Obama during a three-day trip to Alaska, giving the father-of-two the chance to discover the impact of climate change on the state while trying out his wilderness skills.

For those of you not familiar with Bear Grylls, he is a real life action hero, writer and television presenter for his survival shows: Running Wild with Bear Grylls.

The British adventurer and the President were all smiles as they teamed up for their Alaskan adventure. POTUS showed of his dad skills with his funny selfie that included his finger and this brilliant one liner: “Glad this was the only Bear I met in the park.” But Barack joins a bevy of famous faces that have survived an Bear Grylls adventure.

The bromance between Bear and Zac Efron was palpable. In fact we are petitioning that they get their own spin off! The pair also chatted seriously about Zac’s past. “You can have some real challenges, and I know, you know, you were very honest about when you went to rehab and stuff. What kind of lead down that road?” Bear asked

“The challenging part was never the work, you know, that was never it. It’s sort of the inbetween.” Together the pair seemed to have a great adventure. We’re still lolling at Zac’s reaction to eating worms and the constant display of his, talented arms.

Channing Tatum might be Magic Mike, but it looks like Bear was the one pulling the moves. The Brit asked Channing what his favourite moment was: “OK, you’ve done all these crazy things. You back-flipped from a helicopter into a lake, you climbed and slept on a rock ledge. You’ve done all of this, chased a rattlesnake, you name it. What was your favorite bit? “

Laughing Bear recalled what Channing said: “When we were sitting on top of the mountain and the camera crew was gone, and it’s just you and me and you’re cooking the remains of the rattlesnake over the fire. You had your pants off because you were drying it on the rocks. You’re bent over the fire, your bum was right next to me, and one of your testicles drops down in front of me out of your underpants. And that’s when I knew this goddamn adventure is real.”

Everyone’s favourite gal pal, Kate Hudson was HILARIOUS on the reality survival show. She spent 48 hours with survivalist and host Bear Grylls, making us laugh throughout with some classic one-liners. Her review ants as a delicacy: “I feel like I have a little leg sticking in the back of my tonsil.”

But the starlet never said no, admitting: “I always like being pushed and challenged. Sometimes in life that’s gotten me into trouble because I sometimes seek challenge, you know, but I like to feel like I’m working for something.”

Kate Winslet set up a safe camp, found food and confronted her biggest fear by swimming in rapid water. The mum-of-three also shared some particularly profound moments during her time with Bear. The Oscar winner admitted she was bullied at school and had the chance to confront her tormentor years later: “There was one girl who was particularly horrible to me. She was working on a beauty counter in a department store I went up to her and said ‘I want to thank you for being such a b**ch because it made me a lot stronger.”

We love that Kate recreated that iconic Titanic scene (even if Jack was played by her backpack!)

Ben Stiller got in touch with the simple things in life during his time with Bear in Scotland. “It was very beautiful – until we started filming. For about half a day it was sunny and then they turned on the cameras and the rain came down,” he recalled.

Ben decided to go on the show to see if it was as real as it seemed on-screen. And it turns out it was so much more than he expected. “You don’t know how intense it’s going to be, or how dangerous. They make you sign a waiver because you definitely could die, and they know that. Bear’s a super positive guy. If there’s someone you want to spend a night in a cave with on the Isle of Skye, and snuggle up with – it’s Bear.”

Bear recalled his time with one his first guests back in his Man vs Wild days: Jake Gyllenhaal “You’ve gotta admire somebody when they step out of their comfort zone and put their life in somebody else’s hands. I was very clear with him and said, ‘Come on your own and trust me.’ He did incredible. What I like about the wild is when you’re squeezed, you see what people are made of.”

Bear seems to have had EVERYONE on his show… So how do you top the President? We think a royal! Why not the longest-serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth?

Or Duchess Catherine? We imagine she’d be very savvy especially all the times she’s needed to run after cheeky Prince George!

Wait… but of course! How could we forget our favourite wildlife crusader. Sir adventurer: Prince Harry! The pair have already gotten up to a lot of mischief together. Are they climbing somewhere they shouldn’t be!?

Go team Prince Harry and Bear Grylls! Calling Kensington Palace to make this happen!
