The Australian Women’s Weekly’s annual Women of the Future Awards have just kicked off in Sydney this afternoon, with a star-studded lineup of incredible Australian female celebrities turning up to support a new generation of talent.
The annual awards celebrate successful young women who are pioneers in their respective fields, with our nine finalists vying for over $210,00 in prizes.
Some of the outstanding finalists include women who have invented radiation protection for breast cancer patients, pioneered circular fashion to cut waste and emissions and created socially responsible forums through music.
An incredible list of high profile women have arrived at Bennelong restaurant in the Sydney Opera House, including journalist Lisa Wilkinson, radio presenter and host of The Living Room, Amanda Keller and television veteran, Kerrie-Ann Kennerley.
