Today Show host Tom Steinfort has tied the knot with his stunning partner Claudia Jukic in a gorgeous wedding in Hvar, Croatia.

The former 60 Minutes reporter met Claudia last year through mutual friends and got engaged last year, with Tom proposing on a boat in the same European country.

Claudia, who is a a style editor at David Jones’ in-house magazine Jones, headed up by former Elle magazine editor-in-chief Justine Cullen, looked breathtaking in a beautiful long-sleeved white pleated dress by New York City designer Danielle Frankel.

The couple were married in St Stephen’s Cathedral in Hvar and the reception was later held at the 16th-century Hvar Fortress.

Instagram photos taken by friends and family on the day show the loved-up newlyweds looking relaxed and glowing with happiness.

And if you want to do a little Instagram stalking of your own, the couple’s clever wedding hashtag is #tomislavisintheair.

While Tom’s Today Show co-hosts Deb Knight, Georgie Gardner and Brooke Boney weren’t present on the day, many of the couple’s other close friends, journalists, editors and production staff from both Channel Nine and the world of fashion magazines, had travelled all the way from Australia to support them on their special day.

Tom and Claudia were introduced by mutual friends last year, but their path to love wasn’t entirely smooth, with Tom’s busy work travel schedule often getting in the way of their fated meeting.

They were supposed to be introduced at a party, but Tom was called away last minute on a work trip, so they later attempted round two with drinks at a Sydney pub.

“I was running late, again because of work—it always conspires against us,” Tom told Channel Nine, but the pair “got on like a house on fire, and the next thing you know, it was four hours later.”

But both Claudia and Tom thought their date wasn’t really interested.

“I left thinking, ‘Fantastic, I think that went really well, can’t wait to catch up again’, whereas Claudia’s impression was that I’d rushed out of there,” Tom said.

“She thought I was not interested, I was very interested, and I thought she wasn’t that keen. So I can’t read her and she couldn’t read me.”

Yet of course, as the story goes, they eventually realised that their relationship was the real deal.

“It took a little while for things to progress, but once we were properly going out we both realised pretty quickly that this was the person we wanted to spend our lives with,” Tom revealed.

And so last year, when the couple were on holidays in Croatia with friends, Tom bought a ring he knew Claudia had her eye on and carefully planned his proposal.

While on a day out on a boat with friends, he told his mates what he was up to.

“I worded them up on what I was planning to do and said, ‘When there’s a nice time, can you make yourself scarce?'” Tom said.

The couple’s friends gave them some alone time and it was then that Tom got down on one knee and proposed to Claudia.

“She started crying and I thought, ‘She either hates me, or this is good,’ but she said yes,” Tom joked.

Tom says his favourite thing about Claudia is that despite their hectic work lives, they can always have fun together.

“We have great dinners or parties, or we go overseas together, and that’s fantastic but I just love the fact we can be sitting around at home and still have the best time,” he said.

“We can laugh and keep each other entertained forever.”

Too cute! Congratulations to the happy couple!
