Engagement rings are an investment, so you want to choose the perfect one.
But according to digital scrapbooking site Pinterest, there’s one ring that’s a standout online, and it’s going to set you back a pretty penny.
This solitaire diamond ring was custom made for Sylvia Billone, and is currently the most pinned (ie. saved) ring on Pinterest right now. It’s been saved 103,900 times on the site, making the impressive ring the most popular.
“The solitaire ring is 1.22 carats with a two-millimeter-width rose gold band,” Sylvia captioned the photo of her ring.
Sylvia went on to explain that she was inspired to design this ring from other engagement rings she saw on the site, however she didn’t reveal the price.
As a guide, gemmologist and jeweller Matthew Ely estimated the 2.5 carat ring Tim Robards gave Anna Heinrich could be “up to as much as $70,000 due to its lovely quality” so that puts in perspective how much Sylvia’s might be worth.
Rose gold has become increasingly popular as a metal of choice, likely because it’s flattering on all skin tones and more unusual compared to gold, silver or platinum.
But unlike Anna’s ring, which is an emerald-cut diamond, Sylvia’s is a classic circle shape.
The ring is so popular that the simple design has sparked thousands of similar rings on Instagram, and we can totally see why every bride would want this stunner on their hand forever.
Newlywed Miranda Kerr was also presented with a similarly shaped ring from fiancé (now husband) Evan Spiegel, back in July 2016.
The supermodel and Snapchat founder wed over the weekend in a low-key ceremony in the couples’ Hollywood home.
Gentlemen, take note.
