Last September, she announced that she and Evan Spiegel wanted to keep their upcoming nuptials “small and intimate.”
And Miranda Kerr got her wish over the weekend, with the Aussie supermodel and the Snapchat founder and CEO tying the knot at their Brentwood home in LA in front of just 40 of their nearest and dearest.
“Evan and Miranda looked at many different options for where they wanted to have their wedding, but their backyard was what felt most intimate and perfect,” a source told E! News.
“They kept it small with only those people that mean the most to them.”
While all eyes were of course on the bride, her spotlight was almost stolen by her son Flynn.
Dressed in an adorbs three-piece suit, the six-year-old – who Maz shares with her first hubby Orlando Bloom – “looked very excited” and was “twirling and spinning as he ran down the driveway” spills the source.
According to E!, the couple’s guests were reportedly treated to cocktails in a tent – which was decorated with pots of ferns, candles and white and pink roses, farm tables, white benches and cream couches – before the ceremony, which lasted around 20 minutes.
At the reception, Jason Mraz took to the stage to perform a medley – which included his hit song I’m Yours – while the new Mr and Mrs Spiegel mingled with their guests with their dog Teddy in tow.
Aww, that’s what we call puppy love!
After that it was onto the speeches.
Evan’s sisters, Caroline and Lauren, reportedly teared up during their emotional tributes, while Miranda’s mum Therese, grandfather and aunt, also spoke.
Miranda’s aunt apparently gave Evan advice on how to keep his wife happy, telling him, “Remember the woman is always right.”
It was then time for the couple to kick up their heels as DJ Ruckus hit the decks, who played everything from Justin Timberlake and Madonna to Stevie Wonder’s, Isn’t She Lovely.
“Everyone hit the dance floor and didn’t stop dancing all night,” dishes the source.
But the most memorable moment came at the end of the night when Miranda, 34, took over the microphone to serenade Evan, 26, with Shania Twain’s, Still The One.
“She sounded amazing and hit all the high notes,” the source tells E!. “At the end, everyone clapped and whistled for her.”
The Aussie supermodel announced her engagement to Evan in July last year after just a year of dating.
“We were really good friends for a long time before we started dating,” Miranda confessed to the Sydney Morning Herald, when she was asked how her and Evan came together.
Evan founded Snapchat while he was studying at Stanford University, and Forbes estimates he is worth about $2.1 billion. Snapchat itself is worth $16 billion.
Congrats guys!
