There’s nothing like ogling at the lives of the rich and famous online to warm our chilly mornings with a little lavish desire.
These photographs from the wedding of Aussie Home Loan boss John Symond’s daughter, Deborah Symond, are so lush they’ll make you forget all about the upcoming Royal Wedding (well.. almost).
Featuring a haute couture dress costing over $200,000, Hamilton Island’s Qualia resort hired out exclusively for the three-day wedding celebrations, AND over 120 guests made up of Sydney’s most elite – this is by far one of the most beautiful weddings we have ever seen!
The 30-year-old heiress, Deborah Symond, first met her new husband, Ned O’Neil, son of Rose Bay Marina owner Denis O’Neil, over ten years ago through family friends – the pair’s lavish wedding has been a long time coming for both friends and family.
The pair said ‘I do’ on tropical Hamilton Island, though the Australian Island wasn’t the couple’s first choice.
The location was a quick change, made after their original destination in St Barts was destroyed by Cyclone Irma – but nothing was going to hold these two lovebirds and their wealthy fathers from putting on an event to remember.
Room with a view: A shot of Hamilton Island’s Qualia resort where the wedding took place.
Deborah, a flourishing fashion retailer, forwent the traditional white wedding gown for a pink Christian Dior haute couture gown that she was fitted for in Paris last year.
The couple flew all 120 of their guests to the tropical island for the breath-taking wedding.
Guess our invite must have been lost in the mail.
