You often hear of travel disaster stories: delayed planes, less-than-edible in-flight meals and just all-around bad service. However, today is not going to be that day. Instead, we will acknowledge and celebrate those airlines that actually do what they set out to achieve: take us far-flung places and do so in the time it promised with great prices and exceptional service.
The TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards have revealed the world’s best airline for 2018, and it’s probably not who you were expecting it to be.
Singapore Airlines has taken out the top spot in the Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards for the second year in a row, and Qantas was the big winner a little closer to home, ranked the best airline of in Australia.

Ranked by the number of positive reviews each airline receives over the year, the airlines are broken down into four categories: world, regions, countries and class of service.
Singapore Airlines was rated number one in the world, with one review calling them “Simply the Best!”
“Best crew, best in-flight meals, best entertainment, best customer service, always courteous and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and reasonable fares. I only fly Singapore Airlines, I tried the rest, I stay with the best! Other airlines, please take notice.”
