We didn’t think it was possible but Amy Poehler just became even cooler.
That’s because she, alongside producer Meredith Walker, founded an organisation called Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls.
The organisation is dedicated to helping young people cultivate their authentic selves; they emphasise intelligence and imagination over “fitting in”.
Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls owned the red carpet at this year’s 69th Primetime Emmy Awards with their smart, insightful and inspiring questions for some of TV’s biggest names.

Next they asked Jimmy Kimmel and his wife, Molly McNearney who they thought the epitome of grace and kindness was.
“I’m going to be very wise and say, my wife,” Jimmy said.
Molly gives a shoutout of Michelle Obama.
We’d have to agree on both fronts.

Like we said, definitely the best Q&A from the award show.
We bet you’ll be thinking about these answers a lot longer than you’d be thinking about who wore what dress.
We hope to see much more of Amy’s Smart Girls on red carpets in the future.
