Jacqueline Bouvierโs 1953 wedding to John F. Kennedy was one of the most-talked about weddings โ and now new images of the couple on their big day are up for auction.
The unseen and rare photos were taken by freelancer photographer Arthur Borges, who was instructed to shoot pictures of the couple when the weddingโs official photographer Lisa Larsen was reloading her camera or changing position.
The images were left unpublished and are now for sale with RR Auction.
Bobby Livingston, from RR Auction, told the Express that โthe photos arenโt staged in any way and as a result JFK and Jackie Kennedy are very relaxed, laughing with one another and chatting with their familiesโ.
โThatโs what makes these photos so great now,โ he said. โThe Kennedys are the closest thing to a royal family we have in the United States and these are never-seen-before photos from the wedding.
JFK was assassinated 10 years later in Dallas, Texas, while Jackie O died in 1994.
