A few months ago Madeline Stuart, who famously declared in Woman’s Day that she would be the first model with Down Syndrome to strut the runway, wowed the world at New York Fashion Week.
She captured global hearts and minds, but while the 18-year-old was living out her dream on the world’s most well-known catwalk, a special boy was waiting for her at home.
And when they were reunited recently, she decided it was time to share her beautiful love story with with long-term boyfriend Robbie Streeting.
Maddy barely had time to shake off the jet-lag from her ground-breaking New York trip before she posted a photo on Instagram of her in a loving embrace with Robbie, who also has special needs.
It’s unconfirmed how long the cute duo have been an item for, but judging by their Facebook pages they’ve been together for at least two years.
“Happy birthday to my beautiful boyfriend,” Madeline wrote on one of her three adorable snaps with Robbie, who recently turned 20.
No doubt matters of the heart are a huge priority for Maddy even while her modelling career is going from strength to strength.
Not long after hopping off the plane from NYFW the red-haired beauty stopped by the Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival where she walked for big brands like Myer and Australia Zoo.
While it’s tough to see where she fits romance into her increasingly busy schedule, her mum assures us that if Maddy wants something, she will make it happen.
“She’s very independent, you couldn’t make her do something she doesn’t want to do,” she told Woman’s Day during Maddy’s first ever shoot for a national magazine.
And it seems that, along with a red-hot modelling career, Robbie makes her happiest of all.
